Chemo Induced Menopause
I was reading a fellow blogger’s entries about menopause and it got me thinking that I had not talked much about the chemo induced menopause that I went through. OK where to start?
When I was getting ready to start chemo therapy I did a lot of research on it and read that it could possibly put me into menopause. I mentioned it to my oncologist and he said well yeah that is a possibility. Well did he not think to tell me about that? Could it be because he is a guy and just did not think about it?
Whatever the reason was for his not telling me I am glad that I had read that it was a possibility because when I started chemo therapy I also had my last monthly visitor.

Things like genetics, hormones, training and nutrition all play a roll. But two things, above all else, determine how were going to look: motivation and consistency.
Consistency is often determined by our degree of motivation. Those of us who really want to change our physique usually find the least amount of excuses. The obstacles are the same, but we find our way around them.
Time never a good excuse. We make time for the important things in our life. If were consistent in our training and nutrition, its because weve developed a lifestyle that will lead to us achieving what we have set out to achieve.

First, a post on The Daily Beast explored the topic of spontaneous orgasms during yoga class. While it’s no secret that people say their sex lives improve after a regular yoga practice, this was, well, perhaps a little too much information.
Then, a group of high school girls in Loveland, Ohio stood up for their right to wear yoga pants after school administrators banned the stretchy pants as too revealing and thus a possible distraction from school work.
Am I Being TOO Motherly?
My husband’s kidney disease is wearing on him. He is always mentioning how he is going to have to go on dialysis if it fails. I think he is more worried about that than he was with his cancer. Now I understand the idea of dialysis or kidney transplant are scary, believe me I get it. If you have never checked out my cancer blog I can tell you that what a doctor says to you sticks with you and causes a lot of stress. In my case when my oncologist met me for the first time and said he could treat me this time but next time he could not. Things like this tend to stick with people.
When it comes to my husband and his kidney, the doctor said if he does not control his diabetes and blood pressure he would lose about 10% of his kidney function in a year.
