a 1.09!

My husband recently had his blood drawn to see how well his one solo kidney is functioning. One of the test that they do is to test the blood for the creatine level. Creatine is a waste product that increases in your blood when your kidney is not functioning properly.

The guideline levels are it should be between .79 and 1.99 so when we opened up our lab results that came in the mail and saw that his creatine level was a 1.09! Yes I am going to use an ! point because this is amazing. The nephrologist wrote a comment that his levels were much better than he expected; especially because it has only been 2 months since his kidney removal.

Ive stayed at or around the same weight and same body-fat percentage for more than a couple years now, not because I live a strict life or because I have insane genetics, actually both are far from the truth.

Lymphedema UGH

Ok so you know that I was diagnosed with breast cancer going on 6 years ago and shortly after I was diagnosed my doctor went back in and put a medical port in under my collar bone and went ahead and removed a large group of lymph nodes from under my left arm. I had asked the doctor to only take out a couple but he went rather aggressive and removed 22 lymph nodes. I really did not want that many removed because me being me I had done a lot of research on it and I knew the more lymph nodes he took the more likely I would end up developing lymphedema.

So to reduce the risk of lymphedema you need to follow a few precautions.

Can You Be a Christian Yogi?

By now it’s common knowledge that yoga has its roots in Hinduism. For this reason one Seattle pastor says there’s no room for yoga in Christianity. Yoga is demonic, says Pastor Mark Driscoll, and it can’t be separated from its Hindu roots in order to make it acceptable practice for Christians.

“Going to a yoga studio to practice yoga as a Christian is a bit like going into a mosque to practice Islam as a Christian,” he writes in a recent blog post.

Driscoll makes his case by exploring yoga history and philosophy and citing both Hindu and yoga scholars and passages from the Bible.
