Kirtan Chorus

There are lots of things to love about the practice of kirtan. It’s a chance to practice devotion, experience a meditative trance, or even explore your connection with the world and a higher power. For some people, one of the most alluring aspects of kirtan is the opportunity to connect your voice with the voices of others–to really experience being a part of a community.

This is exactly what Kirtan Central founder Daniel Tucker had in mind when he asked people from the kirtan community to submit videos of themselves singing the Krishna Das Classic “Ma Durga.”

I Want To Be Wrong

My new Booby pal is due to have her biopsy on Friday. She said that her doctor wanted to wait until her monthly visitor came to see if the lump was still there. Well considering it has been there for over a year my guess is that it will be there before, during and after the visitor leaves. I am not 100% sure that she did not want to wait on the biopsy. I know she is scared to get it done, I was too.

I wanted to take her by the shoulder and say look you could potentially have a ticking time bomb in you and you are waiting because you are scared. If she had a real bomb in her hands would she hold it tight or would she toss it like she was playing hot potato.

Cost Of Cancer Detection and Treatment

A friend of mine has a sister who is let’s say a free spirit. I would guess she is in her late 40’s (not really sure) but she is currently unemployed and has no health insurance. Sometime last year she noticed a lump she went to a doctor who said that he thought it was nothing but dense breast. She kept it in the back of her mind for a while then she noticed it again or at least that is what she is saying. She started noticing it a few months ago when she thought maybe she should try to get it checked again. She went to a doctor (not sure if it is the same one who she saw last year) this time the doctor said she needed to have a mammogram as soon as possible.
